My first music video. Joel, a mate from uni, asked me if I was keen to do it… with no budget. Of course I was. I had the perfect no-budget idea! Thanks to Toby, who lit and framed it up, Mel, who did all the cool post effects, Erica, who got it on digi, and of course the band for their awesome song! That’s literally everyone who worked on this, a no-budget of $300. There’s always a budget.

Here are three ads I made for Doritos. One made it to the Doritos website (”Make An Ad For Doritos?”) but the other two never made it. It’s really weird because I got a call from them saying that they had got them. I feel bad for everyone that helped get them made that they never got up on the site. They’re here now, and I think they’re better then some of the Top Ten. But I am an egotistical maniac. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

Eight – Tropfest Short

This is a short film I wrote and directed for Tropfest 2008. Anna, the producer, and I were still casting the day before the shoot due to some pull-outs, but we got a stellar cast together and shot it in one day. The music was recorded a couple of days later and the final edit was finished 6 days after the shoot. Just in time to hand it in the next day – the deadline. All for $200.

Alas, the story ends there. It didn’t make it to the finals. but i think it turned out pretty good, with some great performances from Virginia Gay (All Saints), Gus Murray, Garth Holcombe and Adam Dunn.

Opinionate

Opinionate is an online program that I have been developing with producer Karin Fitzhardinge. It’s a show that takes on the current topics with a youthful eye and a comedic tongue. Karin and I shot and edited everything ourselves, sourcing the talented panelists and scoring a great host in Ryan Coffey, a young up-and-coming comedian (finalist in the RAW comedy festival).

If the show was to be picked up we have lots more ideas for the show, incorporating mobile phone content, music, animation, live streaming and lots more. It’s in its infant stages but check it out!
